Cambodian Ministry of Justice and JICA Discuss Legal and Judicial Cooperation

PHNOM PENH: The Cambodian Ministry of Justice and the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) have discussed fostering more cooperation within the legal and judicial sector.

The Minister of Justice, Koeut Rith, and the newly appointed Chief Representative of JICA Cambodia, Sanui Kazumasa, met and discussed this matter on Wednesday, 19 April 2023 in Phnom Penh.

Minister Koeut Rith welcomed Mr. Sanui into his new role and wished him a successful mission in Cambodia.

Both sides discussed the progress made on the 6th phase of the legal and justice development project, as well as the possibility of further strengthening and expanding cooperation in the legal and justice sector between Cambodia and Japan.

JICA further pledged to help develop Cambodia's human resources in the justice sector.
